Hi agents and authors! Below is my current romance wishlist.

I also acquire select titles for Harlequin Trade Press. Please note that HTP imprints do not accept unagented submissions, unless otherwise noted (i.e. online pitch events).

I’m looking for:

• Stories that radiate joy

• Romances written by and featuring Black and other POC characters; including intercultural romances

• Well-developed, blush worthy heat

• Queer love stories written by queer people that de-center coming out; especially interested in seeing more bisexual protagonists and trans protagonists

• Undercurrents of other genres in romance such as horror, mythology, and magical realism

  • A horror romcom is high on the list i.e. if Grady Hendrix wrote smutty romances

• Trope heavy romances that elevate the stakes. My favorite tropes: enemies to lovers, second chance/reunion romances, close proximity (ex. one bed, oh no!, we’re snowed in!), opposites attract, grumpy vs. sunshine (think: “Someone will die…of fun!”)

• Nerdy romance featuring cosplay, fanfiction, and comic conventions

• 90’s and 2000’s film-inspired stories, like 13 Going on 30, Love & Basketball, You’ve Got Mail, Bend It Like Beckham but if the movie ended with Jess & Jules together like it should have!)

• A rugby romance!

What I’m not looking for:

• “Across the political aisle” romances

• Romantasy

• Dark Romance

• Stories featuring marriages in crisis

• Stories involving cheating or adultery
